Veda started her career in 2011 and is one of India’s leading hitters, having also made an impact while playing for the side. She’s appeared in more than 100 different games and scored more than 1,600 runs. For Krishnamurthy in T20 cricket 2019 has been a decent year. She did her career-best score in T20Is, 57 * in India’s home West Indies 5-0 clean sweep. At the age of 13, Veda Krishnamurthy crossed into the senior stateside because she could cast herself on and in the fielding team, Karnataka has the advantage over others; this comes as no surprise because she was a double black belt when all 12.

Background

When 18, Veda Krishnamurthy made the Indian debut in Derby for half a century, and, unfortunately, was complacent. Three years out of practice and a job with Indian Railways far from home, in Delhi, brought her out of her comfort zones and offered her the opportunity to look inward and improvise. Veda has taken every chance since the return to become an integral part of India’s limited-over line.

Still a great player, hostility is in the DNA of the Veda. She would have been frequently criticized for throwing away her one-day cricket starts, but her all-or-nothing attitude has brought more good than damage to India.

Veda’s Cricket Journey

Veda Krishnamurthy is an integral member of the Indian women’s cricket team’s fielding line-up. For many candidates in Karnataka and India, Bengaluru-based Veda Krishnamurthy has now become the pin-up girl. The aim for her parents was to bring her home to Kadur, Chikmagalur once the camp had ended. They realized little that Bangalore was about to become her new home. KIOC coach Irfan Sait, seeing her exceptional talent on the field, encouraged her parents to let her stay back and continue to practice. They finally surrendered to his demands and Veda was admitted to HSR Design at Cambridge Public School.

In particular, Krishnamurthy bats at No five or even No 6, and is responsible for leading a chase or setting up a total. She had to strike from the beginning for most of her instances and determine when to take a chance. Krishnamurthy is used to the task and will hope to be able to orchestrate a chase or generate a respectable total anytime she goes out to play. Getting the experience of competing against the greatest bowlers and practice with several of the best athletes are obliged to keep her mentally and physically in good stead in the tournaments.

Run over her career in the T20s, and lift a few eyebrows with her respectable average of 19. But delve deeper into the figures, and one notes that she never walked in for bat before the 12th over during her stay in the T20 arena.

Veda’s growth

Krishnamurthy has a knack for taking the best bowlers down. With the sweep or the paddle shots, she can be creative, she can blast the ball through the off-side by granting herself space, and with brute power, she can smash pickets on the leg side. She is excellent against the spinners as well as enjoys the ball falling on the pad.

Krishnamurthy is one that dares to navigate the ropes in an age in which Indian women’s cricket is still coming to grips with power hitting. Adding to this, Krishnamurthy is among the top Indian setup’s strongest fielders in women’s cricket. She usually begins in the inner ring during most of the initial stages and is prone to build run-outs with her lethal throws. She also fields in the ‘ hot zones ‘ later in the series and has a safe pair of hands.

Krishnamurthy fielding could prove to be a telling factor in a close encounter in a T20 game, where every run counts. Whether it’s a flaming cameo or a controlled run-a-ball knock, Krishnamurthy will have to bear the burden of finishing the series right across the world cup.

Veda can represent a threat to the strongest of the bowling strikes at her belligerent peak and is widely pipped to finish among India’s best finishers ever made. Today, she’s renowned for her big hits. Veda is India Women’s youngest person to score 1000 runs in WODIs.
