Keeping in mind that its competition is with big players of this field like Airtel and Tata, Reliance JioFiber will floor out the plans through which customer will be getting benefitted. The plan shall start from Rs 700 per month for a minimum speed of 100 Mbps. Other plans would also be available which will go up till 1Gbps or 1000 Mbps. JioFiber plans will be highly competitive, i.e one-tenth of the global rate.

The broadband speed which JioFiber is offering is way up than what Airtel or Tata offers. With its lightning-fast speed, JioFiber is setting a stage for itself. Big players of this field are nowhere close to offering what JioFiber plans to offer. The speed offered in the initial period will be 100 Mbps over 5 GHz on the Wi-Fi network and 50 Mbps over the 2.4 GHz on the wireless network.

Airtel offers a maximum speed of 300 Mbps and much slower plans. Airtel’s unlimited data plan is not valid all over the country so it takes a back seat. Data benefits of 100 GB, 300 GB, and 600 GB are also on the platter by Airtel. Shifting to a slower speed, if data allotted runs out, is another feature with Airtel.

As of now, JioFiber has only one plan, with a capping of 100 GB FUP limit on users high-speed connection. Users can extend this cap with the help of sachet recharges, available free of cost. The plan offers 40 GB of data to the users every day.

Airtel offers 4 monthly rental plans ranging from Rs 799 to Rs 1999. Whereas JioFiber is totally free under the preview offer. The only amount users have to pay is Rs 4500 for the high-speed router and that amount is also refundable. Other than high-speed data, Reliance JioFiber customers will also get several freebies including 4k LED TV, with certain plans, such as –

Lightning-fast broadband speeds of up to 1 GBPS.

Set-top box

Landline phone

Ultra high-definition entertainment

Virtual reality content

Multi-party video conferencing

Voice-enabled virtual assistant

Interactive gaming

Home security

Smart home solutions

JioFiber users will get unlimited calling to US and Canada at Rs 500 per month. Reliance JioFiber plans will come with a free subscription of OTT applications, which include MX player, Netflix, Hot Star, and others. JioFiber plans to offer a gamut of other services to customers, including an option to watch movies on your television, the day they release.

JioFiber has smartly introduced cheaper plans with a plethora of offers so as to get a huge foothold in the market.

Airtel is the largest broadband provider in the country, with the entry of JioFiber in the space, Airtel’s broadband revenues are expected to dip, if not fall steeply. Airtel has also come up with services that should be a notch higher than JioFiber, in order to retain its customers. Airtel and Reliance both need to work hard for seizing a sizable chunk of customers. However, the factor which might work in favor of Reliance JioFiber will be its attractive pricing. Keeping in mind the present scenario, broadband tariff war is bound to increase along with a number of users, with time.
