Halloween or also you can say Hallowe’en, It is a contraction of “All Hallows’ Evening”. It is also known as All Hallows Eve.
Halloween is celebrated in yearly at several western countries on the month of October 31st. It is the celebration of western christian feast of all Hallows (All Saints). It was actually influenced by western European harvest festivals & the dead with possible pagan roots(the Celtic Samhain) according to scholars. It is believed to have originated independently with the ancient Celtic festival of Sahain, When people wear costumes of ghost.
